Paul E. Niemeyer embarked on his journey in the realm of video game art, honing his skills under the tutelage of industry luminary P. Farris in the esteemed art department of Bally/Midway from 1982 to 1984. During his tenure at Bally/Midway, Paul left an indelible mark on gaming history, lending his artistic prowess to iconic titles such as Tapper, PacMan Plus, Super PacMan, Professor PacMan, TRON, Satan's Hollow, Spy Hunter, WACKO, and numerous other prototype games, contributing to the vibrant tapestry of arcade entertainment.

In 1984, Paul embraced the freedom of freelance work, embarking on a dual career path as a designer and illustrator in the bustling landscape of Chicago's advertising agencies while continuing to shape the visual landscape of video games. Among his freelance endeavors, none garnered more acclaim than his involvement with the groundbreaking Mortal Kombat franchise. In 1992, Paul's deft handiwork culminated in the final illustrations of the Mortal Kombat logo and the striking artwork adorning cabinets, control panels, and headers, forever cementing his legacy within the annals of gaming history.

Throughout the 1990s, Paul lent his talents to an array of high-profile promotional campaigns, including beloved movie properties such as Little Mermaid, Jurassic Park II, Men in Black, and Demolition Man, alongside an eclectic assortment of ad campaigns for multinational corporations, showcasing his versatility and adaptability across diverse creative landscapes.

In 2000, Paul played a pivotal role in the inception of Eagle Games, assuming the mantle of creative director and leaving an indelible imprint on the design and illustration of various game titles. Venturing into new realms of creativity, Paul embarked on a hauntingly successful venture in 2006 with the establishment of ABYSS Haunted House, a top-rated attraction that captivated thrill-seekers until 2014.

Since then, Paul has continued to channel his creative energies into designing and crafting props for escape rooms, theme parks, haunted attractions, and festivals around the globe. Amidst these endeavors, he finds joy in connecting with fans who fondly reminisce about the timeless classics he helped bring to life, perpetuating his enduring legacy in the world of gaming and beyond.

Paul also spends ample time traveling to conventions, delighting in the chance to meet fans face-to-face. These events serve as vibrant hubs where enthusiasts can connect with him, sharing in the excitement of gaming's past and present.
